Orientation & Agenda Overview

Session 1
Welcome to VentureOut! Our kick-off session, run by our Program Manager, Eric Wollberg, includes a lot of caffeine, an overview of the program and speakers, tips and tricks on how to take leverage the most out of the program. Each company has an opportunity for a quick introduction (the first of many) and to ask any questions. Breakfast included.

ff Venture Capital is one of the most active VCs in NYC. Paul runs their finance practice, working with portfolio companies on financing, future fundraising strategy and more. Learn the fundamentals of raising venture capital from a VC.

In this session, our Program Manager, Eric Wollberg, has the startups pitch to the rest of the cohort. This allows for further preparation for the pitch night and a comfortable environment to rapidly improve messaging.

JUMP TUESDAY - Art, Music, VR, AR and the Future!

Networking Event

Session 5
We go to Jump Into the Light for a Networking Event. Every Tuesday, their Virtual Reality arcade and playlab transforms into a hub of creativity. It's closed to the general public (no vr games) but open to creatives, artists, dancers, musicians, developers, programmers and everyone who is looking for new ways of expression through VR, AR and Tech. We'll get to meet the Jump Into The Light team, resident artists and explore different artistic apps in virtual and augmented reality.

Investor Pitch Night

Session 5
This is the big night (and it’s the open bar)! Our pitch event begins at 5 pm with private investor speed dating, allowing each startup 5 minutes one on one with each member of the investor panel. At 6 pm, our audience begins to arrive and at 6:30 we kick off the event and each company will pitch for 2 minutes, get feedback from the panel until everyone is done and we go back to drinking and networking. Make sure to bring your A-game!

Final Presentations & Exit Interviews

Session 1
This is the final workshop of the program. We ask every company to crystallize the takeaways from the program that they will be applying to their business going forward…what did you learn and what are you going to do with it? Then, everyone else in the program provides that founder constructive feedback on their performance throughout the week and how they can improve going forward. This is often rated the most valuable session in our program.
