Brian Frumberg
CEO & Founder
Brian is the CEO and founder of VentureOut, which he launched in 2012 while working at Gotham Ventures, an early-stage venture capital fund. He started VentureOut as a vehicle to help bridge the gap between the innovators around the world and the opportunities available to them in the New York and San Francisco technology ecosystems.
Brian is also a proud advocate of the New York City's vibrant technology community, a role he plays as a speaker, a mentor, on the Board of Directors of the NYC Innovation Collective, Founding Member of NYC Tech International, a member of the FWD.us Innovation Council and as the Founder of the Chaminade Alumni Entrepreneurs Association.
Prior to VentureOut, Brian’s career has spanned venture, at Gotham Ventures, consulting, supporting early-stage tech startups in NYC, business development, at OTR Global, and sales, as the youngest institutional salesperson globally at Standard & Poor's. Brian received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Richmond.
Brett Brody
Director of Business Development
Brett Brody is the Director of Business Development at VentureOut and an advisor to a number of top startups in NYC. Brett was the first employee of VentureOut, joining the team in 2013, and enabled a lot of the growth and success they have seen in the past 3 years. As the Director of Business Development, Brett is responsible for developing the pipeline of upcoming programs, sponsor and partner outreach, and overseeing the entire startup application, interview and selection process.
Prior to VentureOut, Brett’s career covered consulting, finance, and sales working at PetCareRx, Kyriba and Sterling AMG. Brett earned a Bachelor's of Science in Management at Tulane University where he studied finance and music.
Julie le Blanc Duvergé
Director of Marketing
Julie le Blanc Duvergé is the Director of Marketing at VentureOut and the Managing Director for Europe. A seasoned startup executive having helped a number of foreign startups to launch and build their brand in the U.S. market, Julie joined the VentureOut team in April 2017 and is responsible for branding, communication, and partner and sponsor relationships. She has been based in France since January 2018.
Prior to VentureOut, Julie spent 10 years working in sales, marketing and business development roles for tech companies in 4 different countries across 3 continents. A French citizen, Julie earned her Master’s of Management from ESCP Europe where she studied Marketing.
Eric Wollberg
Program Manager
Eric Wollberg is the Program Manager at VentureOut and a conduit between the Israeli and American innovation ecosystems. As the Program Manager, Eric sources the world-class startups that populate our programs. Additionally, he helps develop and run our accelerators, so that our participants have a flawless and fruitful experience.
Prior to VentureOut, Eric was an Israel Government Fellow, working at the Israel Innovation Authority. There he helped bring companies totaling $1.5 trillion in market capitalization to engage with Israeli startups. Eric studied innovation economics at Sogang University and graduated with a degree in economics from New York State’s Public Honors College at Geneseo.
NICHOLAS TIGLIAS
CONTENT CREATOR ASSOCIATE
Nicholas joined the VentureOut team at the end of August in 2018 as a Content Creator Associate. He is a New York native and currently a senior at Baruch College.
Having prior experience in the New York startup scene, Nick joined VentureOut to expand his knowledge and skills into the global startup ecosystem. Nick has experience in creating content in the form of commercials, website development, and social media campaigns for previous businesses.
On his free time, Nick avidly plays ice hockey and loves to run.
CHUKWUDI KANU
VENTURE ANALYST
Chukwudi joined the VentureOut team in September 2018 as a Venture Analyst. He is a recent graduate of Binghamton University with a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering.
Prior to VentureOut, Chukwudi worked in a wide variety of capacities. He was an Operations & Program Strategy Intern at the Queens Entrepreneurship Fund as, an Advisory Board Member at Releaf, a FSO Summer Technology Consultant at Ernst & Young. Additionally, he is currently serving as a Youth Delegate of the United Nations Youth Assembly, a Connector for the League of Innovators, an Educator at H-LAB, and is the CEO of Kanu Career Services.
In his free time, Chukwudi loves reading fantasy stories, speaking to youth about their future, or creating homemade tea recipes that either turn out great or not so great.
DONGHYEOK KIM
RESEARCH ANALYST
Donghyeok joined the VentureOutNY as a research analyst on August 2018. He is currently a student at Yeungnam University in Korea and came to New York to learn more about the tech startup ecosystem.
Prior to VentureOut, he spent the last four years studying engineering at college and understanding technology-related information. He had participated in a capstone design team under his chief professor in mechanical engineering with a subject of heat transfer in LIDAR sensor which is the main component for the autonomous vehicle.
For a moment, he holds off engineering and tries to learn a new field. And he has a lot of interest in technology-related startups.
Juhee Kim
Marketing Associate
Juhee joined the VentureOut team in October 2018 as a Marketing Associate. Born in South Korea, Juhee has recently joined the team in pursuit of her dream to work and gain international experience. She is looking forward to gaining experience and getting growth in marketing in New York City.
Prior to VentureOut, she spent the last four years studying International business at Dongduk Women’s University in Korea focusing on International Marketing and Economics. To expand her knowledge and skills into the global startup ecosystem, she is participating in a wide variety of activities in school.
Eunchae Nam
Business Development Analyst
Eunchae joined the VentureOut team in November 2018 as a Business Development Analyst. She is currently a senior at Sogang University in Seoul, Korea and came to New York to learn more about the tech startup ecosystem and venture capital.
Prior to VentureOut, she spent the last four years studying economics at college focusing on International Finance and Macro Economics. To broaden her economic knowledge and experience in the fields, she is participating in a wide variety of activities in school. Through participating in the economics club, she analyzed companies and industries such as Samsung and discussed recent economic issues such as the cryptocurrency bubble. Additionally, she worked to improve social welfare in Korea through Enactus and Asan Frontier Youth.
Eunchae is very interested in venture capital and impact investing.
Victoria Lebegue
VC Analyst
Victoria joined VentureOut in January 2019 as a venture analyst. She recently graduated from University College London with a BSc. in Geography. Victoria joined VentureOut in January 2019 as a venture analyst. She recently graduated from University College London with a BSc. in Geography.
Prior to VentureOut, Victoria experienced different industries across the globe. She was the Head of mapping and growth at cPark in Brussels, a researcher in diseases in cacao trees in Chiapas Mexico and a corporate finance intern in Singapore.
Additionally, Victoria co-founded Errata, an AI-powered semantic search engine in Dublin, lived in 10 countries and speaks 3 languages.
Anastasia Shaura
Sales Associate
Anastasia is a recent Mathematics and Statistics graduate from UCL. Prior to joining VentureOut, she has kicked off in the field of investment banking at JPMorgan in London. She has since exercised her creative take on numbers as a data scientist at Teralytics in Singapore and Urbica in Moscow.
To proceed with her round-the-world trip, she has landed in our team in NYC to explore its startup scene and work side by side with thought leaders and entrepreneurs from around the world.
Hardeep Singh Matharu
Business Analyst
Hardeep is a current undergraduate at The University of Leeds studying BA Management. Pro-active, energetic and ambitious, he’s know in his spiritual home of NYC helping VentureOut take their game to the next level as a Business Analyst.
When not at work, or at the dollar pizza shop, Hardeep enjoys hanging out with the peeps, doing martial arts, listening to music and working out how he can travel the world again in the future.
His previous international experiences include undertaking an international entrepreneurship summer school at Zhejiang University in China. Here, he received a first class grade for developing a prototype for a mobile app which could allow students and tutors to connect with each other and arrange tuition between them.
Hardeep joined the VentureOut team on February 2019.
