Welcome to VentureOut! Our kick-off session, run by VentureOut's Program Director, Fay Louise, includes a lot of caffeine, an overview of the program and speakers, tips and tricks on how to take leverage the most out of the program. Each company has an opportunity for a quick introduction (the first of many) and to ask any questions.

We are excited to hear from Sunny Parikh, a Vice President at the Partnership Fund for New York City, where he leads the FinTech, Insurtech and Digital Health verticals. Sunny also leads the FinTech Innovation Lab, which was founded in 2010 by the Partnership Fund for New York City and Accenture with the goal of driving growth in the fintech and insurtech sectors in New York. The Lab brings together senior executives from over 40 leading financial and insurance institutions to work collaboratively with emerging technology companies.

We are excited to hear from Amar Kuchinad, who is a Senior Managing Director at Pretium Partners and was until recently Chief Strategy Officer at Trumid Financial. Pretium is an alternative asset manager focused on the real estate, mortgage, and corporate credit markets. Trumid is a financial technology company that operates an electronic marketplace for institutional investors and dealers in corporate bonds. At both companies, Amar has focused on applying technology, data, and analytics to increase user engagement and drive network effects.

This is the big night: you'll be pitching in front of investors and an audience of NYC tech professionals. We give you some time to finalize the preparation of your pitch and get ready for the night.

The big night! We will start with a round robin at 5:00pm and then will pitch our awesome audience with feedback from the investor panel at 6:30pm. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to discuss ideas and network over drinks and appetizers!

Session 1
This is the final workshop of the program. We ask every company to crystallize the takeaways from the program that they will be applying to their business going forward…what did you learn and what are you going to do with it? Then, everyone else in the program provides that founder constructive feedback on their performance throughout the week and how they can improve going forward. This is often rated as the most valuable session in our program.

We conclude the program with exit interviews, getting candid feedback from each company on their experience in the program and to discuss next steps and how VentureOut can continue to support the company beyond the program.
