Joy is an active advisor across accelerators and university startup communities including VentureOut, Techstars, I2F CyberNYC, Cal Hacks, and Columbia University’s Entrepreneurship Design Studio.  Joy is an alumna of Columbia Business School, The London School of Economics, and UC Berkeley.

Sam is the Director of Business Development at VentureOut. As a seasoned business operator in and out of the startup ecosystem, Sam brings over 10 years of experience and legal background to the team. In his role at VentureOut, Sam is responsible for developing the pipeline of upcoming programs, sponsor and partner outreach, and overseeing the entire startup application, interview, and selection process. Prior to VentureOut, Sam has counseled founders and various companies on a wide range of issues including strategy, investor relations, incorporation, and intellectual property rights. He also ran Operations for several years at a regional automotive parts distributor with a wide range of responsibilities from sales, developing an eCommerce platform, and logistics. Sam received his BA from Colgate University and his JD from the GGU School of Law.

In July 2017, Mayor de Blasio established New York City Cyber Command, led by Geoff Brown, the City's Chief Information Security Officer and Head of New York City Cyber Command. NYC Cyber Command is charged with setting Citywide cybersecurity policies, directing response to cyber incidents, and advising City Hall and 100+ agencies on the City's overall cyber defense.

Geoff previously served in the federal government, including work with the National Commission for Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States (the 9/11 Commission), supporting the investigation's work with the first responder community in NYC. Geoff is a graduate of Middlebury College.

Lucas is a Partner at Lytical Ventures focusing on early stage companies in the corporate intelligence space: cybersecurity, data analytics, and AI. He brings over a decade of investment, operational and entrepreneurial experience to his role.  He co-authored The Art of Software Security Testing and chaired DefCon – the largest hacking convention in the US – for 10 years. He has been a member of the NY tech community since 1999. He is also an adjunct professor at NYU teaching the class “Entrepreneurship for Hackers”, and is a Kauffman Fellow.

Fay-Louise is the Program Director at VentureOut, overseeing strategy and operations for all accelerator programs. A veteran startup advisor, Fay joined VentureOut after eight years working with investors and startups on cross-border and global market strategy across Latin America, Asia & North America. In her role at Venture Out, Fay manages all programming, supporting the startups, mentors, and clients related to those programs, and is a key member of the executive team.

Prior to VentureOut, Fay worked for several years in Private Equity where she managed a portfolio of alternative assets with Acquisition Group Inc and she played a key role in leadership and operations while working as a strategy analyst at Global Impact. Fay has also traveled to over 52 countries and is passionate about working with international startups.

More recently, he served as Director of Product Management at RSA Netwitness and at Securonix as the SVP of Product Development where he was responsible for development and go-to-market strategy for the Next Generation Cloud SIEM solution. Wilson Lin is currently a VC Fellow at Chesnut Street Ventures, supporting fundraising, deal sourcing, and due diligence. He is also a Managing Director at Cyber NYC, building out a tech ecosystem including an early stage incubator, a growth stage accelerator, and corporate innovation programs. Before impact investing, Wilson was a management consultant at Deloitte and IBM and worked in internal strategy at UBS.
